ERFS Stakeholder Consulting

ERFS is a leader in the management of advising and representing public interfaces to communities of all sizes and demographics. ERFS can translate to plain English the technical details of remediation or environmental issues for community boards. ERFS can also represent Fortune 500 companies and other possible past generators of impacted sites to communities. ERFS works to openly bridge understanding of issues and solutions so previously opposing sides work increasingly together for win-win solutions to soil and groundwater cleanups.

ERFS' extensive experience includes being the technical advisor to the Law Department of Jersey City for one of the largest chromium cleanups ever in the United States, management of the closure of a high profile SuperFund site, negotiating the environmental plan for what would have been the Chicago Olympic Stadium in 2016, and many more complex projects in support of community boards.

ERFS Peer Review

A favorite of engineering consultants, ERFS can peer review remediation designs, logistics, costs, safety plans and more. The program allows for collaboration from experts of ERFS staff that manage advanced designs and field work to help peers who are not specialized in ERFS experiences, but responsible for delivery of in-situ remediation.

ERFS International Licensing

ERFS has extensive capabilities to:

  • License a partner for an entire country and transfer ERFS know-how and equipment into that market for a very low cost.
  • Peer guide an in-situ process in another country on how to integrate select ERFS capabilities into their services.
  • Transfer the ERFS capabilities to a foreign government's environmental agency.
  • Internationally deliver peer review designs and/or actual ERFS direct field services on a specific project.

Highlights of Specialty Services discussed in other portions of the website:

Aside from our unique contracting and service packages, ERFS offers many of these services on lump sum by task contracting and time and materials contracting. Specialty services include both technical/field services and financial services. These include:

  • ProxiOneSM.  ERFS implements your design to your specification. Consulting engineers can now rely on ERFS' depth of experience, reliable equipment, and expansive insurance coverage to have their injection designs completed safely and cost effectively.
  • Lump Sum by Task Remediation.  Not every remediation project needs Pay-for-Performance contracting, so ERFS can bring the same level of expertise to task by task contracting. ERFS can implement remediation work tasks under a defined work scope for a lump sum contract amount.
  • Time and Material Field Services.  Whether you need wells installed, soil borings completed, or samples collected, ERFS can provide miscellaneous field services to your project under competitive time and materials rates.
  • Specialized Monitoring.  ERFS can deploy custom equipment for any of your projects to track subsurface movement of contaminants or treatment materials. ERFS maintains down hole probes and data loggers, utilizes SiteVisionSM (soil resistivity monitoring), and can survey with specialized ground penetrating radar.
  • Strategic Exit Evaluations.  ERFS starts at the end -- we first identify possible exits, routes to reach those exits, and the relative costs for each. ERFS' senior staff has reviewed literally thousands of sites from across the United States, rejecting some and developing remediation plans for the remainder. ERFS remediation engineers are experts at evaluating operating remediation systems to determine the best path to site closure versus continued status quo equipment operation and maintenance. Our engineers make best use of existing equipment and formulate plans to assess and attack residual contamination that may be keeping sites operating. Our goal is an Exit Strategy.
  • Project Financing.  Whether connecting owners to bridge loans, making use of state or federal owner assistance programs, using one of our unique contact vehicles, or some combination of these, ERFS is at the cutting edge of facilitating project financing so that contaminated properties can be restored, allowing transactions to proceed, and productive use of real estate.
